FAQ

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in southern NH and yes I love to travel! A travel fee is subject to be added if over a certain mileage from our location.

How should I prepare my horse for our session?

We suggest that you bathe your horse, if the weather permits, the night before if you have a morning session, or the morning of your shoot if you have an evening session. We do suggest keeping them stalled till your session with a sleezy or stable sheet to keep them clean.

Avoid access use of oil around your horses eyes or nose as shiny spots are very noticable in photos. If you use hof polish, be sure to apply it well before your session to give it enough time to dry, or you can just clean their hooves with a damp cloth and a brush to give them a clean natural look.

We suggest cleaning any tack you plan on using durring the session - Leather halter, bridle, saddle, wash or lint roll your selected saddle pad!

Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?

Absolutely! We believe that the location plays a significant role in capturing unique and personalized photographs. Whether it's at your home, a scenic outdoor location, or a venue of your choice, we're open to capturing your portraits in a place that holds meaning to you.

How long does a typical photo session last?

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Portrait sessions typically range from 1 to 2 hours, while events can span several hours. We strive to provide ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

We understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos.

For Portrait sessions: Our editing process typically takes 4-6 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. We prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.

For event coverage: Our editing process typically takes 48 - 72 hours, depending on the number of images, and which package you chose.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling the session or finding an indoor location. We want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and we're flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.

What should I wear for my session?

We suggest bringing 2-3 outfit changes! We are always happy to help pick one you are comfortable in; and its best to have a back up outfit as you are likely to get slobbered or sneezed on at some point during the session. Ranging from casual to formal, choose clothing which reflects your personality and style.

Is there a Travel Fee?

Yes. Travel fees are additional to the session fee and are determined by the distance traveled to and from the session. However, the travel fee may be waived if more than five sessions are booked for a barn shoot.
